Flute, Piano, Musical Theory
I am a highly specialist, fully qualified flute and piano teacher in Hordle, Lymington.
I have years of experience teaching students of all levels and abilities - flute from beginners to Diploma level, piano from beginners to grade 5 level. I teach both children and adult learners, online and in person. I regularly prepare and enter pupils for ABRSM and Trinity College examinations (online and in person examinations) with much success. I teach theory lessons and a crash course to pass ABRSM grade 5 theory.
I help my pupils achieve good examination results but more importantly assist their development as musicians. With flute students I focus on sound production, breathing, technique, sight-reading, idiomatic style and musical interpretation to help them become well-rounded flautists. With piano students I teach good learning principles from the start with good technique and musical interpretation. My teaching style is interactive and adapts to the individual. I aim to build good relationships with my pupils.
I currently teach privately from home as well as online and in schools in the area.
